Arrayit uses our microarray platform to provide allergy testing service. Based on the geographical prevalence of allergens in in a localized environment, with our commercial partner EBS, we have developed biochips which detect the 62 most common allergens that affect dogs and cats. Utilizing protein purification and specialized Arrayit microarray manufacturing techniques, allergen proteins are “nano spotted” onto the glass slide in a microarray format which miniaturizes and multiplexes the test, reducing waste and improving the accuracy, efficiency and sensitivity of allergy testing. We provide a fast turnaround time of processing the samples, and can provide a quantitative analysis, easy to read report for interpretation by Veterinarians and provides good information for pet owners. Only a small volume of serum is required for this one-step testing method - very convenient while saving both time and money! Knowing the allergens that pose a risk for your dog or cat, provides peace of mind at the same times improves the overall health condition of your companion animal.
