After completing your survey, you will receive a Guest Pass to meet pets of interest to you. With your Guest Pass, volunteers will introduce you to any pet you like so you can spend time getting to know one another. Whether you spend time in the pet’s suite, on our rooftop deck or in our play space, we encourage you to get to know your prospective new pet. When love strikes, simply let one of our volunteers know that you would like to proceed with adoption.
Welcome to PAWS Chicago. By filling out our adoption survey at our Adoption Centers, you will answer questions about what you are looking for in a pet. Our volunteers and Adoption Counselors are on hand to guide you every step of the way.

You can adopt dogs and cats at The Pet Resource Center, in Tampa. The center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed on Mondays. All of the pets listed on the and pages are available for adoption but each is in a different stage of getting their medical care. Before leaving for their forever homes, each pet is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, brought up-to-date on vaccines, and dewormed. Some of our pets are still in the process of getting these services, and may not be available to be taken home immediately. You must have an approved application before you meet any of our pets, so please allow plenty of time to fill out and talk with an adoption counselor about the kind of pet youre looking for (Please note that you must be 21 years of age to adopt). To save time, you can complete our online application and submit it before you come or download a copy to bring with you. If you see a pet you are interested in, be sure to note his or her name on your application. The adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip and microchipregistration and all vaccinations appropriate for the pet's age. Adoption fees vary by species. There may be a charge for pain medication and an e-collar if the pet has not already been spayed/neutered. We do reserve the right to conduct a home visit or a background check in order to be sure that we are placing the animals in the best homes for their needs. In the majority of cases, however, a pet can be taken home the same day that he or she is adopted. All dogs must leave with a leash and a collar purchased by the adopter either at our facility or elsewhere before the pet is taken home.PAWS Chicago will find new homes for approximately 6,000 homeless pets in 2016. Our provides homeless pets with the care and dignity they deserve while welcoming adopters and providing them with guidance in selecting their new pet.
