Due to the struggling economy, the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter has established a Pet Food Pantry for those pet owners in need. This program enables families to keep their pets while spending their limited resources on living expenses for themselves. FMAS is hoping, that by coming to the aid of these pet owners, they will be able to keep their beloved pets instead of finding them a new home, surrendering to a shelter or abandoning them. FMAS feels this program literally makes a difference between keeping a pet and having to give the pet up.
Whether you are looking for your first family pet or adding on to your existing “family,” the staff at the Manchester Animal Shelter can help you find that special someone who is right for your home. The members of our cat-care and dog-care teams have a lot of experience matching up the right pet with the right situation, and making sure that your new pet is properly introduced to your current pets. The shelter has no heat or air and it is getting so cold, especially if you don't have a nice fur coat to keep you warm and you're sleeping on cold concrete.
