Take one of our pets home and receive the gift of the unconditional love. Our standard adoption fees are as follows:
Taylor and Theo are waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. They have been altered and are up-to-date on all of their vaccinations. Their adoption fee is $196 total. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, they have been micro-chipped for identification. As an added bonus, they also come with two free passes to Sea World.
Open your home and foster a pet for adoption. We are always in need of foster homes to provide out of shelter care for both dogs and cats of any age – from newborn to seniors. Fostering also allows us to rescue more pets in need, opening up space at the shelter.
Pets can also be adopted through sponsored by PetSmart Charities.
Adopt pets at locations across the region.
The Shelter Pet Project, launched in 2009, is a public service ad campaign focused on spreading the word that pets in shelters are wonderful and lovable, and encouraging potential adopters to consider the shelter as the first place to look when acquiring a “new best friend.” You must have an approved application before you meet any of our pets, so please allow plenty of time to fill out and talk with an adoption counselor about the kind of pet youre looking for (Please note that you must be 21 years of age to adopt). To save time, you can complete our online application and submit it before you come or download a copy to bring with you. If you see a pet you are interested in, be sure to note his or her name on your application. All of the dogs listed below are available for adoption but each is in a different stage of getting their medical care. Each dog/puppy's adoption fee includes their microchip, current vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, and they are started on flea/heartworm prevention. Some of our pets are still in the process of getting these services, and may not be available to be taken home immediately. The adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip and microchipregistration and all vaccinations appropriate for the pet's age. Adoption fees vary by species. There may be a charge for pain medication and an e-collar if the pet has not already been spayed/neutered. All of the pets listed on the and pages are available for adoption but each is in a different stage of getting their medical care. Before leaving for their forever homes, each pet is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, brought up-to-date on vaccines, and dewormed. Some of our pets are still in the process of getting these services, and may not be available to be taken home immediately. Adopting a pet from the Pet Adoption and Protection Center is a low cost, personally satisfying alternative to purchasing a pet from a pet store. Our dogs and cats make good pets and reward their rescuers with lifelong loyalty and affection. Find your furry friend, today!
