The ASPCA operates various programs and services in the New York City area, including our Adoption Center, Animal Hospital, Spay/Neuter Clinic and more. Read on for answers to commonly asked pet-related questions from NYC residents.In 2013 and 2014, the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals hosted in New York City. This national event, sponsored by Maddie's Fund and billed as the largest free pet adoption event in America, resulted in more than 8,500 adoptions by participating organizations in the NYC area. The Alliance and all the groups that participated in the events are grateful to Maddie's Fund for sharing Maddie's Pet Adoption Days with us and for helping to find new homes for so many Little New Yorkers. Today, AC&C and many of its rescue partners will be at Whiskers in Wonderland, a special holiday adoption event, presented by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, in partnership with the Petco Foundation. AC&C cats and kittens will be outside the Union Square Petco, in a mobile adoption vehicle borrowed from the North Shore Animal League. Hundreds of , , , , and will be available for adoption from more than 30 Alliance Participating Organizations.
